It is of pointing out that we are in fact in these moments of beginnings of November in one of the times of more interest for the photographic work, since reason of the autumn, a bigger concentration of bears takes place in those areas where there is more quantity of fruits. It is therefore premature to make a balance of the population's bears situation, although and until the moment in this work area has been able to determine in an individualized way the presence of 16 species.

In these moments one works in the obtaining of pictures to contrast the physical situation the photographed species and to value they will confront the winter and their entrance in the caves in what conditions.

One is also working in determining the incidence of boar presence in you pierce them where the bear is feeding of acorn and chestnut, valuing the competition that supposes in the food reduction for the plantigrade one.

We attach some of the pictures that have allowed the individualization of copies of brown bear in the work carried out during the year 2002.

May 8 2002 Adult bear being scratched in a tree. The photographic teams allow to determine the way in which the bears leave their rakes in the trees. It allows it to be indications of presence in other places revising those trees that possess the same characteristics that the one that we see in the picture.

May 17 2002 Adult walking for a rural road. The day behavior of the bear, walking for a rural road, it shows that in spite of being a Natural Park (Somiedo, Asturias), with great influence of visitors, the area is calm and without nuisances, that makes to the animal feel sure.

June 14 2002 Bear frequenting an area of natural feeding in the low area the valley. Besides the tranquillity the place, we determine the food type that is consuming in this time

August 17 2002. It photographs that we allows to be proven the physical state of this copy, completely plump. An analysis of territory that has been being in charge of will allow to check that there has been decayed in the area, that which shows us the importance of this feeding type for the bears.

October 20 2002 The physical state the bears in autumn is fundamental to foresee if next year will be good for its reproduction. You dare well fed they won't have problems to give birth to and to raise the cubs. We see a copy (possibly a female), fat and in good state. Otherwise, hoist the possibility to contribute some supplementary food (carrion), to improve their physical state.

	BOAR To determine the incidence of the boar in the same places where he/she feeds the bear it is a work of first importance. The demographic increase of the boar in the areas where the hunts have been suspended, it supposes a great competition for the food. The photographic control allows us to evaluate this incidence.

WOLF The population's bears photographic control, allows to determine the presence of other species in the territory of bears. In the case of wolves, the localization of family groups, determination hunt areas , facilitate us a valuable information that is good to determine possible risks for the bear. The presence of wolf in a cattle territory can be linked to the use of poisons. Presence of wolves in areas of bears and abundance of damages of this spice in the domestic cattle raising, forces to a special surveillance of the territory to avoid the use of toxic substances that you/they can affect to the survival of the bears.
